Layer 2 - Pressure Relieving Memory Foam: The second layer is designed using a 2 inch pressure relieving memory foam (IFD: 9. Density: 3 PCF)  that provides the body contouring and pressure relief expected from memory foam.

Layer 3 - Dense Core Support: The final layer is design using 6 inch (IFD: 32. Density: 1.8 PCF) of base foam layer that provides strength, durability and structure to support sleepers of all sleeping styles and weight without feeling too firm. The Leesa mattress is designed to support individual weights up to 300lbs.

The Leesa Mattress is wrapped in a four-stripe cover that features fire resistant properties. The mattress is fully encased in a fire retardant sock made up of a proprietary blend of fibers, each chosen for their balance of comfort and flammability performance.

Leesa's proprietary fire barrier is an inherently fire retardant fabric, so it does not need or have additional chemical treatments. The barrier works by interrupting the combustion process in the event of a fire to meet the requirements of 16 CFR Part 1633. The fire sock functions to smother and dampen flames by causing a layer of char to form, thus preventing oxygen from feeding the fire and subsequently preventing the flames from reaching the foam and spreading.

Unboxing and Installing Leesa Mattress

Step#1: Unbox your Leesa mattress on its side, next to the foundation or floor. Do not use a sharp object to open the box as you may end up accidently cutting or slicing your Leesa mattress. Unboxing by yourself? Try placing your foot on one of the box flaps to hold it in place while you pull the bedroll out.

Step#2: Position your rolled up Leesa mattress on slatted foundation and remove the outer layer of plastic wrap. Once done, Leesa will start expanding automatically at this point.

Step#3: Unwrap and fold the mattress and tear away the inner plastic. If you tear the inner plastic at the top of the bed, you can pull it straight down and off like a sock.

Step#4: Now just sit back, relax and watch your Leesa expand and develop into its final shape. It may take up to an hour for your Leesa to fully expand and a few days to fully firm up. You may experience a slight odor, but it will dissipate shortly after setup.

Your Leesa is built-to-order in 2 - 5 business days and then delivered to you compressed in a box.  UPS in-transit times vary from 1-3 business days depending on location.
